Clutter Control
The benefits of clearing the clutter in your garage and your home are almost as valuable as clearing the clutter in your mind.
Think about it: every time you walk into your garage or open a closet stuffed full of unused or (likely) unwanted stuff, your mind registers and reinforces the clutter it has to organize and manage day-in and day-out.
Less Stress / More Life
A cluttered home leads to a cluttered mind and a cluttered mind to a cluttered life which = STRESS!
When you undertake a garage organization project (and you have a garage sale to get rid of stuff), you are making room for more stuff, right? No! You are making room for more life!
Last But Not Least: Cash
Cash Cha-ching, cha-ching! Yes, you will make money at a garage sale. The real question is whether the money you make is worth the time and effort it takes to make it happen. Its a lot of work, but the extra cash may be just what you need.
Something to think about: If you don’t need the cash, you really don’t want to have a garage sale, but you do want the benefits of a cleaner garage and less stuff to manage, head straight for the next chapter. |
What’s in the next chapter? It’s called Step 4: What to do With What’s Left Over. If you choose not to have a garage sale, you can call it “How to Get Rid of My Unwanted Stuff.”
